Liminal Self, 2024–ongoing
This series of self-portraits delves into the tumultuous journey of liminal time, a period marked by uncertainty and transformation. As I navigate the challenging space between illness and recovery, I am compelled to confront the remnants of my former self and the nascent identity emerging from the shadows.
By casting my shadow onto the landscape, I metaphorically explore the depths of my subconscious, a place where the past and future intertwine. The formal composition of these images mirrors the introspection and self-doubt that characterize this liminal phase. Each photograph is a testament to the fragility of the human body and the enduring nature of the human spirit.
Through this artistic exploration, I aim to honor the resilience of the human psyche and the transformative power of adversity. By embracing the challenges of liminal time, we can emerge stronger, more resilient, and more deeply connected to ourselves.
