For the Duration, 2020
This photographic project documents the social and psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the greater Los Angeles area during the spring of 2020. Initiated on March 8th, 2020, eleven days before the implementation of shelter-in-place mandates in California, the project explores the shifting social dynamics and the emerging sense of collective isolation that characterized this unprecedented period.
Through street photography, I observed and documented the evolving social landscape, capturing fleeting moments of human interaction and the subtle shifts in social behavior. These images explore themes of isolation, connection, and resilience, revealing how individual experiences intersect with broader societal changes.
